Joint Polaris-Lake Hood Staff Position Application Process

April 13, 2021

Cadets,

Good evening! Staff applications for this summer term are now open.

In order to get the most out of our resources and provide continuity across the summer months, Polaris and Lake Hood squadrons will join their cadet programs during the period 4 May 2021 through 24 Aug 2021 into a single, integrated cadet program.  The first step in making this happen is to have a joint staff selection process to appoint a summer Polaris-Lake Hood joint cadet staff with cadets drawn from both units.  Attached is a template Letter of Intent (LOI) and template CAP resume for your use in applying for a position.

Cadets interested in serving on this joint cadet staff during the summer should forward their completed LOI and CAP resume to their cadet commander (For Lake Hood Squadron, that is C/CMSgt Ben Walkup, 622720@akwg.cap.gov

For those applying for Joint Polaris-Lake Hood Cadet Commander, submit your LOI and CAP resume to your cadet commander No Later Than (NLT) 2000 hours (8pm) Sunday, 25 April 2021.  Your selection board interview will be scheduled 1700-1830 Monday, 26 April 2021 at Polaris Composite Squadron, details to follow.

For those applying for the following positions, submit your LOI and CAP resume to your cadet commander NLT 2000 hours Friday, 30 April 2021.  Selection board interviews for staff (not the cadet commander) will be conducted during our first joint meeting at Lake Hood Cadet Squadron 1800-1900 Tuesday, 4 May 2021.
